Brant & Cochran Field Kit

The B&C field kit is designed to ensure your axe remains in peak condition. The Field Kit includes:

• The 8" Mill Bastard File becomes your trusted ally, delivering precise and efficient sharpening that restores your axe's cutting edge to perfection.
• Our dual grit honing puck (ANSI 240/400) is made to be used after each use. A little sharpening after each use keeps your axe safe and ensures ease of use.
• We've also included our specially formulated bit wax, made with plant-based camellia oil, to protect the bit from corrosion.
• To make sure your axe doesn't "fly off the handle" we include some handle wax made by us in the shop with beeswax and raw linseed oil. Rub a little on the handle after each use to keep your handle in tip top shape.
• The outer shell of the tool roll is constructed from 1000 denier-coated Cordura, offering exceptional durability and resilience against the elements.
• Inside, you'll find an inner lining made of waxed cotton duck cloth, adding an extra layer of protection and preserving the pristine state of your tools.
