ProRep Coco Brick is an expandable, moisture retaining substrate suitable for many species of reptile, amphibian and invertebrate. Coco Brick is made from the fibrous outer husk of the coconut. After removal it is prepared for use by grinding to the appropriate size and then washing, to remove excess salts. Finally it is compressed into a conventional block before drying. This process results in a slightly acidic product low in salts. Its natural anti-bacterial properties and the high percentage of lignin means that it will resist rotting, even under wet conditions.
To use , the compressed husk is soaked in water to form a soft friable substrate. This can be used on its own or mixed with other materials. Once reconstituted ProRep Coconut Husk Bedding can be used wet or dry as required.
DIRECTIONS:
1) Place brick in a waterproof container
2) Add 3-4 litres of water
3) Leave to stand for 30 minutes
4) Substrate is now ready for use
